In order to grow and to develop properly, kids have to receive enough essential nutrients from their diet. Sometimes it may be difficult to get your child to eat vegetables and other healthy food. Juicing is one way to solve this problem, since almost all children love juices.
Make sure to prepare juices that will provide your child with a variety of nutrients, and especially pay attention to include enough protein, fat, fiber, iron, vitamin D and calcium in their diet.
When introducing juices in your child’s diet, you should dilute them with water first couple of times, to see how your child reacts.
Note: Don’t start slow juicing for your kids before they turn 1 year, and be careful which fruits and vegetables you choose. Children between ages of 1 and 3 are very sensitive, and juices made of apples and carrots, pears and oranges are recommended for them. However, this juices must be highly diluted and limited to ½ glass of juice for 1 year old, and 1 glass of juice for 2 and 3 year old child.
